Lesie Cree MLA visits Bangor Post Office over the festive season

NORTH DOWN MLA’S VISIT BANGOR POST OFFICE

North Down Ulster Unionist MLA’s Leslie Cree and Alan McFarland visited Bangor’s Royal Mail Office earlier this week to chat to staff who work behind the scenes to prepare our mail for delivery to homes and businesses across Northern Ireland and further a field.

“December 14th is anticipated as being one of Royal Mail’s busiest days said Leslie Cree. I commend the work of our post men and women who go out in all weather conditions and particularly during the festive season to ensure that our Christmas post is delivered to us on time and in good condition.

“Post office staff  have to work extremely hard at this time of year delivering huge quantities of mail.  We all know how important and encouraging it is to receive mail at Christmas time – especially for those who may be facing a lonely Christmas.”

“I would therefore encourage everyone to post early to avoid disappointment and remember the final dates for posting are 18th December for second class and 21st December for first class cards and letters.”

Alan McFarland added; “I would like to take this opportunity to thank all Royal Mail staff for their hard work and dedication during the Christmas season – it really is appreciated and I hope that they and their families have a very Happy Christmas and New Year.”
